Whoops. Sorry. Anyway Buzzsawmonkey, I don’t think the low attendance at National Parks by African Americans has anything to do with lack of intellectual curiosity. I think it has everything to do with the fact that the Civil Rights Act was not enacted until the mid 1960’s. Before that time and really since, black families have had little opportunity to “See the USA in their Chevrolet.” They likely wouldn’t have had motels/hotels where they could stay or restaurants where they’d feel welcome. Going on family vacations was not a standard part of life in the black community.
