It’s been about 90 minutes. If I get onto the road at the right time, I’m ahead of the traffic that’s coming from farther south to the city, and I make good time. If he dawdles too much, I get jammed up, especially when traffic from the west merges. I hate getting jammed up, and he’s realized I’m not the most pleasant person when jammed up so he’s getting better about dawdling. Heck, even in the winter I take his socks and shoes to the car so that he can’t dawdle while putting them on.
Down with dawdling.
As a long-time Southern CA commuter I appreciate the importance of timing in going from A to B and returning to minimize all the fuss.
