Maybe I should just work on getting Zedushka to give up the soft drinks? I quit drinking soda 10 years ago and now I drink only sparkling water (OK, with an AM coffee and occasional adult beverage). Any sweetened soft drink tastes gaggingly sweet to me.

I think it would be easier for him to give up the soft drinks since there are alternatives available and it will make him feel better about himself.
