The amount of damage these idiots inflict on the efforts of the sincere is tremendous. The public starts to link people, acronyms, organizations and before you know it, you’re labeled.

I understand what the “identist” part means; it’s the “irredentists” that I can never keep straight.

“Irredentist”, at least in Europe, normally means somebody who wants to see some “terra irredenta” (unredeemed land) reattached to the country he identifies with. Say, French Flanders (the Lille-Artois region) back to Flanders, California to Mexico, (l’havdil) the West Bank to Israel,…
