I find the article sad, because jewelry is a form of art.

I know when I find my someone, I am going to spoil them silly.

While fine jewelry is having a hard time, I don’t think costume jewelry is. Many designers are using inferior quality supplies to make their jewelry and having luck with sales. Also, new and different materials are being used. Steel for one, I’ve noticed.

The item will not be around for the archaeologists to admire, but it is an outlet for some very, very nice designs.

Art is alive and in many ways more accessible to the masses.
