I think that CBS News article makes my point, actually, but I guess you think those stories are more important than I do. Almost none of them broke through to any large scale media coverage.
In a way, I think that’s been a pity. Like that India torture story, I would have liked to see that get more traction. But maybe that was to be expected from the WikiLeaks way of disseminating the information: a lot of material dumped in a short amount of time will not neccessarily lead to a lot of stories with equally big coverage get to the front of the news. It was also a pity, in my opinion, how much of the coverage was concerned with WikiLeaks (and then the coverage of the coverage and so on) and not with the contents of the cables.
