Philosophy as Science?

I read for a bit, and then skimmed.

If philosophy is almost unknown to the public at large it is because it has become like all fields of expertise; locked inside its profession and sealed away from the world by hermetic dialect. After two centuries the hand of Immanuel Kant still holds philosophy by the throat.

If philosophy wishes to become relevant again it has to return to its roots. Its roots in Athens where a nasty old man wandered the city pestering people endlessly about what they thought and why. Asking questions that made them uncomfortable. They murdered him for it eventually.
