You say that with irony, but you are absolutely on point. His (and likeminded folks’) view is that women are liberated by being subservient to men, and that non-Christians are liberated by accepting Jesus Christ. The fact that he is being 100% logical and internally consistent is what makes it scary. If he were a raving lunatic, I would not be as worried.
