I just lost my dad to pancreatic cancer two months ago. I can’t imagine what it would have been like without not just medicare, but the supplemental insurance my mother got through her retirement (worked for State of New York). They even had long term home health care insurance and still had to pay 3 months before that would kick in. They had all the insurance and it still cost them tens of thousands. A poor person doesn’t stand a chance.
