If you turned 65 this year, then you turned 18 in the midst of Watergate and the first presidential election you could vote in was ‘76 between Ford and Carter. We’re less than a decade from the earliest Gen Xers reaching retirement. So the next echelons of senior voters are not all “boot-strappy,” “salt-of-the-Earth,” “Every Man An Island” assholes that Repubs have made a living fucking over.

I turned 18 in Camelot, 21 in the middle of Viet Nam. Most people shift their views a good bit in 50 years, though I’m an outlier— fairly consistent.
