I know this type of thing is hurting the Republicans and helping the Democrats. Apparently many Republicans — especially the ones doing it — don’t know they are hurting themselves.

So aside from writing to various Republican leaders expressing disappointment with what their party is doing, what else can one do to help alleviate this situation?

Is it a generational thing? Will we have to wait for the next generation of Republicans to try and take back that party? By that time, the Democrats will have rigged the system so much in their favor, the U.S. could, for all practical purposes, be a one-party country.

What can we do?
