it seems like a virus spreading out across Republicans…these people are pouring out of the woodwork…the time is ripe for all these people to get their face time and the MSM and associated pundits are giving it to them…how soon before the GOP is mostly a collection of fringe groups all with their own agenda…I wonder…there may be the numbers to take the House back and even defeat BO in 2012, but then what do we have?…fiscal, small govt conservatism is fading away under an avalanche of lunacy…the GOP does not speak for me, not that it ever did

Agreed … no party “speaks for me” either. But under the current system, no third party really has a shot in a Presidential election. So we hold our noses and choose the least objectionable alternative. I like moderate Republican types such as Romney and Giuliani: two men who did exrtemely well in the bluest of states. There are some moderate Dems that I am also fine with, but nobody of the stature of Mitt and Rudy. I really think that if Mitt and Rudy were the 2012 ticket, they could do really well against Obama and Biden.
