re: #385 Fourth Football of the Apocalypse

Of course, it was pointed out to that delightful chap that Trump and Carson (and every other GOPer on the WH trail) sucked on the government teat in one form or another.

Trump gets incentives from NY/NYC to build.
Carson’s state assistance is well documented.

And of course, most of the rest went to public universities.

1) Jeb went to UT Austin (hey, that’s a public university).
2) Marco went to a community college and then University of Florida (again, a public university).
3) Christie? University of Delaware (HEY!)
4) Fiorina? UCLA Law (I’m starting to see a pattern here) and MBA at Maryland (2-fer).
5) Lindsay Graham? University of South Carolina (wait, wut?)
6) Santorum? Penn State (that trend keeps showing up).’
7) Kaisch? Ohio State
8) Gilmore? U Va

Those without public higher education: Paul, Cruz (though he taught at University of Texas, Austin, Law School), Huckabee, Trump, and Jindal.

So, of the 14 candidates, you’ve got 9 who did at least part of their post-high school education at a public university. Subsidized public education at that. Of those that didn’t, you’ve got Cruz and Jindal who went to Ivy League schools. Paul went to Baylor and Duke Med. Huckabee went to a religious university. Trump? He attended Fordham and U Penn.
