This Lawrence Auster creature is part of the new face of racism in this country; functionally literate, media-savvy, familiar enough with grievance tropes to reverse them. The objective is media cred (and, of course, marketing opportunities). It seems to be working in many instances: The media, fascinated to find that these guys are not pot-bellied yahoos in coveralls, are willing to give them a voice if not an endorsement.

New face or not, it’s the same old hood though.
