I think that’s part of it. I also think that the stories now filter from kook sites to mainstream wingnut sites so quickly that people on fringe forums tend to link to the more “reputable” source. Drudge links to alex jones within minutes of a story popping up. The turn around id just a lot quicker.

Which is something I really don’t get. Jones was spewing the same anti-gov’t, anti-POTUS stuff during Bush’s two terms. That’s his shtick, no matter what party controls the Oval Office. Do they think he’s suddenly become a reliable republican stump?
