Gee, why would the cattle need more land to graze upon? Is it perhaps because they’ve overgrazed the land that family actually owns?

It is the same logic that justified settlers taking land from the Native Americans: the natives were not using it to any productive purpose, so we had every right to take it from them. Ditto for fine grazing land that the tyrannical Federal government is just wasting on birds.
