So, we get stuff that is overpriced compared to the competitors. Apple is a status symbol, nothing more.

Many of my friends have had their Macbooks(?) die, or malunction and be unable to repair it. I was able to easily replace a very slowly dying hard-drive, and Firefox produced this 3.7 year old Vista’s only BSOD.

I repair Apple products regularly. My Macbook is easier to repair than the Dells & Toshiba’s I’ve used. Only Thinkpads used to be easier to repair but that hasn’t been true for awhile.

And I have 22 year old Mac SE/30 that has been recapped and moded and is as good as ever.

Don’t blame Apple if the user isn’t willing to do what can be done.
