i love turnips. lightly steamed w/ bacon drippings (ok grease) and hot pepper flakes.
salt n pep.
when i was a kid, the farmer down the road always let us in the turnip field to pull all the turnips we could carry before he let the cows in.

I accidentally bought turnips once and found out I really liked them. :D

Daikon is also really good. You can prepare it a lot of different ways it’s easy to grate with a cheese grater.
