I work with a guy who just recently moved here from Detroit. After walking out his door and finding his car on blocs and his tires missing, coming back from jogging to discover his house broken in and family jewelry stolen, and the almost daily shootings in his neighborhood, he moved the family to Charlottesville.

I welcomed him here.
