Most of them are far-left loons who are beyond teaching. The Democrats are just better at ignoring those people right now anyways.

I don’t think it’s that the Dems can ignore the radicals better; it’s that the radical left is so incapable of any sort of sustained, coordinated action that nothing really needs to be done. Any forward momentum gets bogged down in factionalism and organizational failures almost immediately.
