Playing Devil’s Advocate for a minute:

What would be the consequences of no population control at all? Are encouragements for people to not have children less humane than those same people having to watch said children die because there’s no food?

At the same time, we also run into the current problem of fewer workers to support a rapidly growing older population.

I’m inclined to believe that it’s a lot easier to prevent additional births than it is to end lives that are already in existence.
