I’m wondering what I could get mugged with that would make me change my opinions about art, about equal rights for everyone under the law, about people pitching in to create a society that works for all its services, about creating a health care system that distributes the load properly like the rest of the civilized world

Maybe people whose convictions change on a dime because of one event, maybe their convictions weren’t that set in the first place?

WUB, you know this, but let me state: It’s an old used quote by republicans to justify their membership. Nothing more. Nothing DEEP to it, to say the least.

Remember, their taxes went down. But we’d never know it for the crying.
