Unlike the Mohammed cartoons, no one objected to the publication of the cartoon, and no one called for violence or death.

Are you saying that because Christians objected to the content of the cartoon as Muslims objected to the content of the Mohammed cartoons (and them some), there are no differences?

Why do Christians object to the cartoon? Why do Muslims object to the Mohammedan cartoons? The reasons are the same. The cartoons are equally objectionable.

The threat of violence is a separate issue and is the worst of the two responses.

You keep conflating the ‘wrongness’ of the cartoon content and the ‘wrongness’ of the reaction.
