Yep. Of course the F-18 lineage was Northrop and then McDonnell-Douglas.

And the F-15 was all McDonnell-Douglas. Both are pedigreed, reliable aircraft, and with a little bit of modernization, would be perfectly capable of competing with modern fifth-generation stealth fighters.
