The enemy used to listen for the “ping” noise made when the clip was auto-ejected from the rifle when empty. They’d pop up and shoot when they heard the ping. Our guys started carrying extra empty clips and would throw them on the ground to make a ping in the hopes the enemy would pop his head up. ;)
