Monty Python did a skit, with a Robin Hood-like bandit, Dennis Moore.
He starts out stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.
By the end of the skit, the poor couple is rich, and refuses the loot because it isn’t good enough, and the formerly-rich are shivering in their underwear with nothing else to give.
Dennis Moore then says “This redistribution of wealth is trickier than I thought”

I love that skit. I seem to recall that he was redistributing Lupins……
