There was a pro-gentrification rally in the Mission once.

It was a joke, but some of the rally members didn’t realize that, and since then, the event has found its way into an indignant essay in an anthology called ‘Colonize This!’.

You should be careful about jokes.

What ever became of that? I was looking through Google Streets and most of the Mission hasn’t changed. I know around Candlestick Park that wasn’t the case and now it’s another boring collection of crappy post modern architecture and young white posers.
