It’s really Randal Howard Paul. I know a couple of Randalls and neither one uses “Rand”. Paul only did it to connect himself to Ayn Rand and her libertarian philosophy. He thinks he’s so cute for that.

I’d like to see his transcript from Duke medical school and Baylor, too. And I’d like to know what other doctors think of him. He isn’t Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (created in 1916), since he formed his own certification assn. Probably couldn’t pass the qualifications for the ABO. I worked for an ophthalmologist years ago and he was board certified; one of the best drs and eye surgeons I have ever seen.

I don’t have to see anything. There is no correlation between attaining a doctorate of ophthalmology and public policy expertise. I can go out tomorrow and start working on attaining said doctorate eventually become and ophthalmologist. It’s all done by rote. Read, review, recite, study and memorize. Pass the tests, know the procedures, and know how to perform the tasks attributable to one’s degree or license. It’s just like being a good carpenter or transmission mechanic.
