I wasn’t referring to a tax rate. The 51% I mentioned was the proportion of the population who will take more out of the system than they put in, up from the current 35%.

We’ll be there under Obama. And that is horrible. Now 51% of working Americans will get free stuff from the gov’t with minimal pay-in. They have no stake in reduced gov’t spending/taxing. They have voted themselves money from the Treasury. The solution is for everyone to contribute, but what politician is going to win elections telling people that they are going to have to start paying some taxes?
