Probably like Missouri during the civil War. I had a grandfather that was sent to a camp for Southern sympathizers in Minnesota territory.
Just seemed like every couple of minutes, someone would yell “You just don’t understand how I feel about (state’s right, abolition, the Union, Mary, Jenny, Susanna, Beau, Abraham Lincoln, the Dredd Scott case, the Missouri compromise, Mama’s dying wishes or Glenn Beck’s good name)!” and then they would flounce.
Victorian dresses are good for flouncing in.
