To cite a slightly later example would be to note the the white 1st Cavalry Regiment saw nothing wrong in fighting beside the black 10th Cavalry Regiment at both the Battle of San Juan Hill and the relief of the Peking Legations two years later. At San Juan hill, the color bearer of the 10th carried the flags of both regiment after the 1st’s bearer was shot. Both regiments respected each other as worthy and honor comrades. Inhofe doesn’t know anything about combat, or much else for that matter.
