The Communists, for all their flaws, truly wanted to help the people of Vietnam and have done so. The Talibs want power and to impose their world view on as many people as possible regardless of anything else.

Remember how the Taliban blew up the Buddhas of Bamiyan. They are destroyers of civilization. *scowl* (And YES, I completely understand that my religion did the same thing. I’m saying it’s WRONG. Don’t Do It.)
