Wingnuts often throw the line “You can’t just throw money at something and expect it to improve.” Sure, that’s true to some extent but they ignore that you can’t just cut everything and act like people won’t be adversely effected. And of course lectures about bootstraps by people who didn’t need the help since they were wealthy already (Hi Mitt) or people who benefited from the same programs they wish to weaken or dismantle (Hey Paulie Ryan).

They want stuff cut and then they bitch because stuff has been cut. I don’t think we have been more stupid as a society ever.

Does everyone get the feeling that when Barack Obama has his last day in office, he is going to let out one hell of a “I am so outta here” cries ever heard? He has been pilloried from every angle for some of the most arcane reasons. I’m no presidential historian, but you just have to wonder if he hasn’t had the most obstruction, resistance and outright hatred of any president. It’s really sad.
