I watched the first episode of Gotham. I’m hooked already, but it’s making Catwoman/Selina Kyle several years older than Batman/Bruce Wayne. Is this a sly “cougar” joke?

I watched the first episode and thought it was great, but I’m already getting that voice in the back of my head screaming out at the number of coincidences. Touching on Batman’s history in the comics or the movies was one thing, because you could throw in one-time coincidences and that could be explained. An entire series built on coincidences? I don’t think it’ll work past a single season.
