As I said, I’m hoping Brown can cut through the mess and convince our fellow Californians that we have to permanently change some things

(iirc) During Bowns’ tenure as governor he added to that mess but increasing to the bureaucracy, adding panels, committees and offices, some overlapping existing agencies. I can’t see how putting someone back into office that was part of the “mess” you want to eliminate helps
