I suspect that he has a few surprises up his sleeve that are going to make him unexpectedly popular with a lot of people who otherwise do not support him (forgiving student loan debt, for example)…But that will not make him any less fucked up overall, just more dangerous.

In order to pull that off, he’d have to stab his supporters in the back, fire Bannon and the entire cabinet, order Pence to resign, and publicly repudiate every single entity that has backed him up to this point in time.

I don’t even think he’s THAT mentally unstable.
