A little anarchy under the Obama umbrella would be unpleasant, but it would not in the long run be a bad thing, as it would reveal Obama as weak and ineffectual and disenchant enough people to build a strong opposition. Again, I’d rather have Obama’s vassals struggling for spoils than have them united. Spoils are only a financial loss; a complete political restructuring such as seems to be on the agenda is a far greater act of destruction.

A little anarchy would mean the PB0 admin would have to be on the defensive all the time, on all fronts, and the opportunities for them to drop the ball would mount over time, giving the opposition the opportunity to grow and unit, as you say.
Much to be preferred to the other scenarion.
