So I went to Hoft’s site, he totally neglects to mention that the dead kid was armed and making motions towards his gun. This per the kid’s own aunt.

He wasn’t armed though, he didn’t have any weapon on him at all, not a gun or a knife. He just faked the cops out by acting as though he was reaching for one.

If you read the story the kid had taken pills to commit suicide a few days before, police took him to the hospital. When he left the hospital and went home is when the shooting occurred. Two of the six officers at the shooting were the same ones who had taken him to the hospital when he tried to O.D.

This was suicide by cop and unfortunately the kid managed to fool the police into thinking he was armed.
