We may have Bush vs. Clinton for the presidency, a Jurassic Park film is leading the box office, there’s a Terminator film coming out next month, and now they’re announcing an Independence Day film for next year.

Our culture peaked before 2001, since then, it has flattenedout and is starting to waver and go into its long period of decline. What we are witnessing is the historical equivalent of a plane’s wings fluttering before it goes into a stall.
