NATO relations are getting more complicated, as Turkey is offended by the Christian-turned-atheist Swede who, for a second time, “desecrated” the Qur’an (he did not burn it) in front of the Iraqi embassy in Stockholm. Turkey is demanding the “terrorist” be turned over to the Turkish state for “crimes against Islam” and “hate crimes.” (“Terrorism” in Turkey carries the death penalty.) Sweden refuses. The Swedish ambassador has been expelled for permitting a “terrorist” to “blaspheme” Turkey’s religious faith, citing the nearly one billion Muslims around the world who are outraged. (Conservatives lie, all one billion are not outraged.)

In Iran, there was a ritual burning of the Swedish flag. Iran has also called for the atheist “terrorist” to be executed by the Swedish crown or be extradited to a Muslim country so they can do it.

NATO’s charter is going to become unworkable since membership requires unanimity. Turkey is trying to impose its blasphemy laws on other nations.

While religious states try to impose their blasphemy laws on secular states (India tried to force Michigan to extradite one of Atheist Republic’s founders for blasphemy against Hinduism), across the Muslim world it is a death penalty offence to be an atheist.
