I’m deeply concerned by this development, but by the same token I feel that this illustrates why we need to engage in further dialog with Iran. Only by sitting down with them, and talking as equals on the world stage, without preconditions, and with diplomacy and understanding, can we reach an accord of mutual respect and common goals. If we can just understand what it is about us that drives them to engage in such actions, then we can truely become one, as brothers united in humanity.
