You have minimized my scenario well short of what I meant. The video from the PD investigation shows grass and a concrete walkway. So quite possibly his head was against the concrete, and his jacket on the grass. If Trayvon was beating his head on that concrete, fear of death or grave injury is quite correct, no matter how you got there.

If the jury sees that as a serious possibility it might mean reasonable doubt on murder, and guilty of a lesser charge perhaps. Not hard to imagine, not what I would want to see.
