Indeed. And letting screaming banshees like PG and fascist enablers like RS do all the talking is not going to bring any reasonable person to see the true dangers of Islamo-Fascism. It drives people away, and for good reason.

This is the way I put it to Charles a few months ago when I first caught a whiff of Robert’s true colors regarding Kosovo: People like my parents, who would otherwise be open to sober warnings on the dangers of radical Islam, would completely discount everything written on JihadWatch (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and likely even third-party sources echoing JihadWatch material, as soon they’d ever come across his lies and sick revisionism about the Balkan conflicts and the history of the nations involved.

I myself had to question everything I thought I knew (I mean, info regarding the spread and effects of radical Islam in countries I have but second or third hand knowledge of) because I knew everything Robert was writing about Kosovo/Albania being a jihad state (and related fabrications and revisionisms) was a lie. I knew that because that’s my neck of the woods. What about what I read to be supposedly going on in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Egypt, etc?

Catching him flagrantly lying on one topic undermined my confidence on everything else, and I have since been in the habit of triple checking my sources on anything I learn regarding conflicts in lands far away. Especially when it comes to Islam, because sadly, I have learned that there are anti-Muslim haters out there. But I was convinced Islamofascism was a serious threat long before I ever heard Robert Spencer’s name.

What about someone who is on the edge, and who may have become aware of this reality, but his/her initiation to it is through RS, whose credibility is nil? Again, what would people like my parents (interested in reality but not very knowledgeable of the problem) take away from their first contact with the anti-Jihadi movement through RS?

Nothing good, nothing positive, nothing believable.
