The teleprompter meme is one of the dumbest, but I think it’s easily sold to the unsophisticated who don’t understand the device and think it’s cheating.

You’ve gotta be very disingenuous or stupid to think Obama uses a teleprompter during a debate or press conference or interview. During a formal speech, it’s nothing more than the digital age equivalent of note cards (or writing on the palm of one’s hand).

I think Obama’s hour talking to his congressional opposition without notes or teleprompter should have destroyed the idea that he can’t talk off the cuff.
