Personally I don’t think we are going to see mass resignations or even many non re-upping for poetical reasons. In one word the economy. And the health insurance don’t suck either.

Probably not, but I suspect that it will definitely factor into some people’s retirement plans.

I personally know three LTCs who are getting ready to put in their retirement papers, even though at least two of them would probably get picked up for O-6 in another year or two.

And I’m doing the same as soon as I meet the 3 year time in grade requirement from my promotion to E-9. I could stay in another 10 years if I wanted, but I remember the Clinton years (and the tail end of the Carter years, actually) in the military.
