It’s the most extreme of what happens there.

I’ve been to Folsom three times. It is mainly a merchandising fair, with tons of leather, bondage, etc. equipment around. The street is blocked off for the event and entrance is controlled, though anyone is free to enter they’re all warned what’s coming up.

There’s lots of public nudity, but very little actual public sex. You could probably find more going on on Lover’s Lane or out at a nude beach.

I’ve never seen Zombie’s photos, so I don’t really know what it shows.

zombie found another event which was supposedly “even more extreme” than Folsom and of course, posted photos. I don’t recall the name of that event.
