He’s wrong. The earliest sources referencing Mohammed come just a decade after his death. It’s unsurprising that we don’t have earlier ones, given how little stuff remains from that era and area.

And of course the Koran is an amalgam of other religious texts, just like almost every other religious text out there.

He’s hardly breaking new ground.
