My dilemma is this - should I beg off due to irreconcilable difference of opinion, or take his dirty wingnut money? Any suggestions would be helpful.

I’m currently employed at an ad agency that does a ton of work for conservative and Republican candidates, so I can definitely understand what you’re feeling. I’m lucky, though. My co-workers aren’t frothing wingnuts. They look at the RWNJs and roll their eyes. And they’re nice people besides.

Just do what I’m doing — take the money, do your job well, use the experience to build up your resume, and secretly kick a few extra bucks to causes you believe in. :)
