So let me see the logic here as I flog the dead horse. A song about one-world and understanding and a lot of other imaginary gooey stuff. One lyric is changed and suddenly Green is in “hot water”? That doesn’t make sense. If people really believed in that song they’d be like “that’s cool”. Or do they mean that in this “Imagine” world that if you stray “from the lyrics” you’re going to be in “hot water”?

Lennonists don’t look kindly on heterodoxist additions to their dogma. Wish there was more humor and less veracity to that statement.

He was an interesting guy, but the whole enshrinement thing is just…blech. It’s a disservice to your heroes promote hagiography over reality: good people, talented people, can be deeply screwed up, and can even have done deeply wrong things.
