I am so tempted to get HBO, we just finished the first 3 seasons via netflix and I am completely addicted to the show. I saw a lot of parallels in some of it to how things actually went down in medieval times and I love it.

When I read GoT I remarked to friends that it was one of the first times I saw a fantasy author get the dynastic middle ages mindset right. That it was following the rough path of the War of the Roses didn’t bother me since there is nothing wrong about building fictional stories around historical events.
